Infrastructure Funding
This is a 57 trillion dollar industry over the next 30 years. Infrastructure projects- in power, water transport and communications-are potentially attractive to insurers and pension funds because they fulfil their need for assets with stable and predictable returns to match their long-term liabilities.
The need for infrastructure investment worldwide is massive, the attractions for this asset class is clear and the appetite of investors for infrastructure assets is growing.
Global Infrastructure Solutions Limited will strive to source bankable infrastructure projects.
We are playing a role in securing both the strong pipeline of projects to stimulate economic growth and introducing the finance needs to deliver it.
Many developed economies are placing greater emphasis on driving a green-led recovery and world leaders look for opportunities to build sustainable growth in emerging markets. We are looking to grow our market share in this particular emerging market segment.
These bankable infrastructure projects will be matched with financing entities or foundations. The financing entities and foundations will have a constant stream of emerging market infrastructure projects to analyse and fund.
Embracing digital innovation
Infrastructure needs to embrace 21st century digital innovation. That goes for both projects being built today and for existing infrastructure that’s being expanded, retrofitted or repurposed to meet new needs or circumstances.
Did you know?
"Infrastructure investment by the mining and quarrying sector remains the highest contributor to the net stock value of infrastructure. In 2020 , it accounted for nearly a third(29.6%) of the total market sector net stock, followed by the energy sector, that accounted for 24% and water supply infrastructure accounting for 16.2%."
"Developing countries attract only a quarter of global investment. Furthermore, two thirds of investment in developing countries is concentrated in just five countries. This scenario can be changed with more private capital being dispersed into these other neglected developing countries. Private Capital can set up commercially viable frameworks with these countries to get the ball rolling. This is an open canvass for productive dialogue."
World Bank guarantees are powerful catalysts to attract private-sector investments and commercial financing for strong development outcomes that support economic growth and improve public services in developing countries.
Blended finance is a tool for scaling up infrastructure investments. Achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals will require massive investment in developing countries. Blended finance, which combines concessional public funds with commercial funds, can be a powerful means to direct more commercial finance toward impactful investments that are unable to proceed on strictly commercial terms.
